Things you need to know
This post might seem a little basic for some reading it, but believe it or not a majority of users online have no clue that several of their actions every day earn someone else money, and they don’t even know they’re doing it! If you’re like me, you’ve begun to notice over the years all of the advertising popping up in places we’d probably rather not see it. Some of it gets more and more clever by the day, bypassing whatever filters you just bought to stop them. For some it’s an annoyance we learn to tolerate, but for others, they wish they knew how to cash in on doing the same type of advertising but with their own product or idea. Unfortunately for most, the dream of earning even some money from the Internet stops when they type in “make money online” in Google and see a bazillion results pop up, mostly with links to pages trying to sell you some get rich quick scheme. This makes it terribly confusing for the average joe to sift through all the fluff and get to what really works, or what would even be suitable for their idea.
Because of this, I’d like to start things off with explaining what’s real, and what’s bull when it comes to making money online, starting off with the common misconceptions:
- You need to be a computer genius to make money on the Internet. I can’t do it.
You can do it. Depending on your skill-set, you might be looking at spending longer periods of time to complete tasks, or outsourcing the work to professionals. (Outsourcing? Sounds expensive…its not! I’ll show you how later)
- You have to have a product to sell, or be really good at something in order to make money online.
How about if I told you that you don’t even have to have a product to sell to earn some money? That’s right! You can get paid by referrals for products and services through companies called Affiliate Networks. These networks employ people like yourselves to help advertise products and services for other companies. The affiliate networks are the bond that ties both you and the advertiser into a profitable relationship which could last for many years to come!
- The Internet is full of scams and cheats out to take you for a ride, and your money. How can I be certain I’ll get paid?
Its true, the Internet IS full of scams and shady deals. This is why you should only sign up and affiliate with a known trusted network such as the ones in my sidebar to the right. All of them have paid me on time and without any issues.
- I have a full-time job taking up my time already, and I can’t surf at work. Can I do it too? Even if I only get an hour to myself in the evening?
Believe it or not, there really are turn-key income generators online which can earn you some extra money completely on autopilot. It seems too good to be true, but I kid you not. It exists, but not without a great deal of effort and work involved initially to get them off the ground, so don’t expect a cakewalk your first few times around. I’ll be going through some of these tactics later on in the month.
